__Lumberjack__: “He releases the hooks on his tail that are holding on to the crest. He then slides down the mountain with his mouth wide open, scooping up his prey on his way down. There were reports from Bladenboro that dogs were being found dead, drained of their blood and torn to ribbons. I think across those 10 days, they found more than 6 dogs. In January 1955, a farmer reported having seen the beast attacking his livestock and killing hogs, cows and goats.”">>

__Resident__: “In 2007 there were livestock killings that were tied to this beast in Lexington, Greensboro and Boliva. In Greensboro and Lexington, over 60 goats were found with their blood drained and their heads crushed. In Bolivia, Bill Robinson found his pitbull dead. He buried him at his farm but the next day the dog had reappeared where he had found it originally. Leon Williams, also from Bolivia, found his pitbull dead 4 days later, covered in blood and missing body parts. Over two weeks, 10 dogs were found dead in similar circumstances.”

In the original legend, the creature had to wear the pelt of the animal it wanted to transform into, but later versions say it can transform at will, even being able to steal a human face. But no matter what it chose, it always had human eyes. That's the only way to tell the real animal from the Skin Walker imitation.”">>

__Navajo Child__: “Well, legend says it feeds off of the victims fear, and is able to read human thoughts. It is often seen running alongside cars on the highways, before turning into the woods and disappearing. It's hard to guess what happens if it catches you, but my guess is you won't live to tell the tale.”

They must have been at least 10, maybe 15 feet across. We drove off, only for it to follow, keeping up with us as we drove over 100 miles per hour.”">>
